MARION MAGNOLIA FARMS - Vendor Spotlight
Vintage Romance: Abbie & Will’s Wedding at Marion Magnolia Farms
Seeing how Abbie and Will styled their day made me instantly see why they chose Marion Magnolia Farms in Cassopolis, Michigan to celebrate their wedding. A nod to vintage was everywhere, with delicate lace runners gracing the tables under bright pink floral arrangements, while the girls carried timeless Sola wood bouquets wearing Dessert Coral gowns (except the groom's sister, who stunned in a lovely blue gown and stood with the men). Abbie's bouquet featured a deeply precious memorial charm, with a photo of her mother set in an oval filigree pendant tucked under a lovely pearl brooch.
Her dress was the most fabulous "Paris" ballgown by Maggie Sottero, perfectly balancing timeless elegance with a modern edge. Against the lush greenery, the gown looked right at home and effortlessly lovely. Yes, I researched this dress. It was so incredible I had to know more!
The outer layer of fabric is crafted from crisp Soleil Organza, creating a light-catching, sturdy texture without the slippery shine of typical satin. It's fully lined with structured Elin stretch Mikado, which allows that uniquely full skirt to hold its classic shape. The beautiful Pink Champagne shade Abbie chose gave off a romantic, soft oyster-pink glow that caught the afternoon sunlight perfectly without washing out Abbie's incredibly light skin tone. Leaning into the vintage romance was absolutely the right move!
Pink Roses and Lace on Rustic Wooden Tables
Pink always belongs at this venue! From the dusty colored mauve and brown-toned hydrangeas, deep burgundy mums, and bright pink roses, mixing a pink/red color palette brought a fall vibe to this early October wedding day! You can see the leaves on the trees are just beginning to yellow, while natural green is everywhere too!
Will and Abbie's rings were both stunning. I loved the colorful inlays on his. Men finally have so much variety for rings now!
A quiet first touch and a Joyful Ceremony
You can say so much more to each other alone, rather than in front of a crowd. Abbie and Will opted for the quiet first touch moment just outside the bridal suite, leaving Will to wait for that momentous walk down the aisle to get a first look at his gorgeous bride. I won't say this timeline promises tears, but I will say, in my experience, it certainly makes emotion more likely. There is just something magical about that moment. And that first sight did not disappoint!
Romance in the dark
The night ended with a sparkler exit and a fully private last dance. I back this trend with my whole heart, by the way. An introvert should not need to leave the site of the most amazing night of their lives to get those quiet moments, and wedding days are notoriously chaotic. For this event, the DJ organized the guests outside, having them prep for the sparkler exit. Since it always takes a minute to corral everyone into lines and get the sparklers lit and ready, Abbie and Will used the prep-time to have the DJ play a song, just for them, so they had three minutes, just for themselves, on a completely empty dance floor.

Natalie and Harry's windy mid-may wedding day at Marion Magnolia Farms
Sometimes you have to lean into the wind and let the day create its own magic! Natalie and Harry had a gorgeous early summer event at this lovely white barn wedding venue on May 17th. Their son was on-site with them, participating as the most adorable ring bearer! He was so good and patient all day. The color palette was mint green, sage, light lilac, and lavender, and the ceremony area was minimally adorned, with the rustic wooden benches creating a lovely, natural vibe. Fun and friendship took center stage. This bridal party excelled at leaning into the eclectic, non-formal scenes. The guys sported matching Nike's while the girls had a blast creating avant-garde poses with their flowers.
Golden Hour Portraits and Dancing
With a bride and groom this talented at fashionable posing, we had to use the decor around us! The famous Marion Magnolia truck and the apple orchard out back, along with the gold velvet vintage sofa were our favorite spots before the night ended with dancing and dance-floor love.
